"don’t know
what runs through
someone’s veins
before that trigger
is pulled
what excuse
what idea
allowed
oxygen to enter
that motion"

"I unsheathe my sword
Slashing frantically at the chains
Encircling the latch.
A link in the chain breaks;
The door springs open.
A flood of words pours in
And I realize that
They were there all the time
Just waiting to be captured
In the rhapsody of my essay."

"At first I thought you lied only to me
Then I discovered you lie constantly
To everyone you know, you cannot be true
You’ve stolen and cheated, this is just you."

Soon, the lamb’s wool would be all turned into thread
And she would then weave a carpet of red, gold, and indigo

It’s this star, scintillating, that lights your creation.
Whose loss is it – the fall of Man? Is it yours or mine?

"This tendency emerges again and again
as long as its victims stay hidebound."

But they don't know
If my fingers are cut
My eyelashes will write on the paper
And if they make me mute
My silence will scream.

Companionship must be savory
It must be nice to sit idly and talk
Of simply nothing
To the tune of beetles chirping,
Lilacs blooming,
Night darkening, moon gathering.
